MOTIVATION
Indlu Yokuphephela Skills Training Institute is situated in a rural area that is disadvantaged. The Organization works with disabled people, it is mostly looked down upon and underfunded whereas our patients require lots of special care. This results in the inability to meet its daily operational needs
Obtaining more donations and funding will help to address the daily needs of our patients and the organisation itself will be able to purchase necessary tools, equipment and personnel. Due to observation of less care and ill-treatment of disabled people within their families and society, the organisation launched an outreach programme named Sikhona Disability Awareness Campaign in November 2022 which is aimed at educating public, families, schools, churches about rights of disabled people. This initiative was launched but hindered by in unavailability of funds.
Should this organisation obtain funding it will continue reaching out to communities and help meet the objectives of the organisation by ensuring extension to the existing residential facility and skills section which is in high demands. The organisation will also be able to purchase a vehicle especially for emergencies patient care and centre responsibilities.
The organisation will be able to keep existing staff and hire qualified personnel and remunerate them accordingly thus create sustainable job opportunities.
